Who needs Flood Maps? If you are anywhere around water it’s something you really should have. Have STDB? Well you can get them for FREE. Let us show you how to get them very quickly.
With all the flooding surrounding Hurricane Harvey we though it would be a good time to remind everyone that if you are a CCIM you can use STDB to get flood maps anywhere in the USA. They are digital representations of the FEMA Flood Maps which can be overlaid on a street map or hybrid aerial map.
Open the Flood Maps application from the main dashboard. You are presented with a map of the USA. Enter in the address for your location OR zoom in on the map and drop a point on your subject property. Click “Get Results” and give it a few seconds to generate your custom Flood Map.
Use the Zoom and Transparency controls to adjust the FEMA map overlay. You can choose between a street map or an aerial base map as well. Adjust your point placement if needed and even draw a distance line between your location and any flood zone on the map. You also get location information in a table and an applicable flood zone legend as well.
Finally you can either email or download a PDF. That’s all there is to it, just a few clicks and you have your very own Flood Map. If you want the original version from FEMA you can click here for a map based search and download as many as you would like.
If you need help in finding the right Flood Map or assistance in getting the most out of your STDB account, drop us a line and we will help you get to the right place.
